Hi, I'm Melody...

I've had the writing bug since I was ten years old.  Years later, when visiting France as a teenager, I discovered a love for travel that has grown with time.  As an adult, I found that I could combine my two passions -- travel and writing -- and now I have the best of both worlds!

Now as a freelance writer and tourism professional, my travels take me throughout the world.  I've explored ancient ruins in Central America, North Africa and Turkey; I've taught English in the Czech Republic, camped in the Sinai desert and studied yoga in India .

My articles have appeared in publications such as TACA Airlines Explore magazine, AAA Going Places, The AAA Touch, What's Hot (a wrap for the Miami Herald), the Daily Herald, and the Orlando Sentinel, among others.  Although I write on a variety of topics, I specialize in travel and archaeology.
